2010 R. Berl Elder Scholarship

ACEC/G provides funding through the Georgia Engineering Foundation for the ACEC/G – R. Berl Elder Scholarship.  The scholarship fund was originally established to honor the second President of the organization.  Over the years many generous gifts by consulting engineers have been made to endow these scholarships.  Mr. Peter Giles founded the scholarship and served as the Chair of the Trustees for many years.  Most of the assets in the endowment are due to his generosity, including a $50,000 bequest at the time of his death in the year 2000.
