New Member Procurement
Know of a colleague or client you think should be a member? Follow these easy steps:
- Check the membership database to make sure the firm or company hasn’t joined since your ACEC/G directory was printed (or just give the ACEC/G office a quick call at 404-521-2324 or contact: info@acecga.org).
- Give your contact at the prospective firm or company a call. Mention your involvement with ACEC/G and what it has done for your firm, and encourage him or her to visit the ACEC/G Web site. Be sure to offer to sponsor the prospective firm. Before ending your conversation, be sure to let he or she know you plan to have the ACEC/G Membership Manager call to answer any questions and to provide additional information.
- E-mail or call Manager of Member Services, Kathy Belcher, with any “inside information” you might have on the prospective firm. The more we know about them, the better we can match member benefits with your prospect’s needs!
- The Membership Committee and Membership Manager will continue with all follow-up, including additional informational materials, dues-related information and more.
- Finally, you’ll be personally called once the recruiting process is concluded and the member has joined, or if needed you may be called to give the prospect the “final nudge” needed to get them to submit their application.
What’s next?
- The Board of Directors will review and approve your prospect’s application – then the new firm or company will be introduced to everyone as a new ACEC/G member at the next Monthly Member Meeting!
Congratulations – you’ve successfully recruited a new ACEC/G member!
We all have the responsibility of helping ACEC/G grow, and you can do your part by recruiting those firms and companies with which you do business. ACEC/G has all of the resources you need to get a prospect to join – working together, we can make it happen!
Your Membership Committee Working for You
The 2010-2011 Membership Committee works throughout the year to lead ACEC/G’s membership growth efforts.
If you’d like to find out how to get involved with the Committee, please contact David Wright, Chair or Kathy Belcher, Manager of Member Services.
Remember – growing ACEC/G is a group effort!
