About Our Members
Membership consists of both Regular and Associate categories:
- Regular Member firms have as their principal business the practice of consulting engineering, environmental, technical and management services
- Regular Members represent all engineering disciplines and services, and range in size from 1-person firms to 500-plus firms
- Staffed by qualified and registered engineers, Regular Members maintain permanent offices in the State of Georgia and are licensed to practice engineering by the Georgia State Board of Registration
- Associate Members firms provide professional services of a scientific or technical nature that are complementary to the services provided by member firms
Membership Information / Address Corrections
If you know of engineering firms or other professional service firms that are candidates for membership or associate membership, or if you are interested in becoming a member of ACEC you can contact the ACEC/G office.

Qualifications for Membership
Regular Membership:
- Have a Certificate of Authorization to practice engineering in the state of Georgia (1-person, unincorporated firms exempt)
- Have a Professional Engineer in an office established in Georgia
- Practice consulting engineering
- Provide a professional service of a scientific or technical nature that is complementary to the services provided by Regular member firms
- Do not supply goods that are specified by consulting engineers
- Do not qualify for Regular membership
Who's Who in the Engineering Community?
ACEC/G and ACEC are pleased to feature a searchable database with the latest information on ACEC/G member firms. The database includes a listing of more than 300 of the state's leading consulting engineering and design firms.
Searches of the membership database can be run by firm name, discipline, area of interest, minority status, or by the number of employees. For example: you may be interested in finding a chemical engineering firm (discipline) in Georgia (state) whose (area of interest) is air pollution control. You can also elect multiple states, disciplines, or areas of interest.
