PDH Saturday Call for Speakers/Topics.  ACEC/G is currently extending a Call for Topics/Speakers and/or suggestions.  Please click here for the nomination form.  The annual seminar will be held at Mercer University, Macon, GA on November 4, 2006. Continuing Professional Education is the lifeblood for competent engineering practice and is required for license renewal.  PDH Saturday is a convenient, cost-effective way to meet both needs. While lunch is served, the entire day is devoted to training – no banquets, awards, hotels, board meetings, etc.  Registration for the seminar will be forthcoming.

Special Inspections.  Chapter 17 of the International Building Code requires "special inspections".  The IBC was adopted in Georgia with an effective date of 2002. The 2006 edition of the IBC is currently being reviewed in anticipation of adoption with an effective date of January 1, 2007. ACEC/G, in collaboration with SEAOG,  have proposed two documents to be included in the Georgia Amendments to the 2006 IBC.  Click more to review these proposed documents and to submit comments.
