Description

ACEC Georgia members are invited to join fellow structural engineering leaders for this Structural Forum, chaired by Jim Case of Uzun + Case, LLC.

Speaker: Steve Burrows, Katerra
Steve Burrows is a Commander of the Order of the British Empire and a Professional Engineer. He has been responsible for projects such as the Birdnest Stadium for the 2008 Olympic Games, the Apple Campus in Cupertino and the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Steve currently leads engineering at Katerra, a Silicon Valley technology start-up company with the mission to disrupt the construction industry. Since Katerra was formed two years ago, it has grown to almost 1,000 people and captured the imagination of the industry as an agent of change. Steve will outline the mission and approach Katerra is taking to build better, cheaper and faster buildings.
