    Job Description
    Position Summary We are currently seeking a dynamic Department Manager of Construction Services in our Kennesaw (Atlanta) office that will lead our existing successful engineering team and assist in managing large public-sector projects. You will have the opportunity to grow and advance your career while working on the state’s largest and most interesting projects. Primary Responsibilities • Responsible for operational management of the branch office including Construction Materials Testing/Inspection Department. Review of testing/inspection reports for distribution to clients • Business development activities including scope of work development, estimating and proposal preparation • Development of construction quality control programs and implementation • Profit and Loss responsibility • Recruitment, development and mentoring of professional, technical, & administrative personnel • Provide mentorship to professionally develop staff engineers • Evaluate opportunities and make strategic decisions regarding Go No-Go • Regularly communicate with clients to ensure work quality, exceptional staff performance, and address client concerns and manage expectations Education, Skills and Experience Requirements • BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management • P.E. registration is required • 8+ years of relevant experience is required • ICC, NICET, and/or ACI Certifications are desired • Personnel management, project management and profit & loss experience • Strong business development interest and competency MC Squared, Inc. is a regional professional engineering firm specializing in the fields of Geotechnical, Environmental and Construction Inspection and Testing with offices in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
