  • Ashley Jenkins serves as the Director of Government Affairs for ACEC Georgia. In this role, she is responsible for Political Advocacy for member firms at the state and local levels.

Ashley’s background as an attorney, former elected official, and lobbyist brings broad knowledge of law, the legislative process, and public policy at the local, state, and federal levels to the members of ACEC Georgia. An effective communicator and liaison known for building strategic partnerships and alliances, she will be working under the Gold Dome and in the local government communities to be the voice of the business of engineering in Georgia.

Originally from St. Simons Island, Ashley graduated from the University of Georgia and started her career at the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. She attended George Mason School of Law and prosecuted domestic violence and child abuse cases in North Carolina. Upon relocating to Sandy Springs, she was unable to shake the political bug and served on the first city council of the start up city. After moving to East Cobb, she became a contract lobbyist whose clients included economic development authorities, quasi-government entities, non-profits, and construction and healthcare trade associations. Most recently, she served as the District Director for United States Representative Karen Handel (GA-06). She and her husband Mike have two teenage children.
