  • 2017 Georgia Engineers Summer Conference

    The annual Georgia Engineers Summer Conference convened from June 22-25, 2017 at the brand-new, beachfront Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach in Clearwater, Florida. The business-focused content included sessions on risk management; value; attracting, retaining and rewarding talented engineers; compensation planning; and more.   • 2016-2017 Future Leaders Program Graduation

    On May 16, 2017, more than 50 professionals graduated from this year's ACEC Georgia Future Leaders Program. Each graduate was honored during a reception, keynoted by General Dick Burleson with Neel-Schaffer. Founded in 1996 by former ACEC Georgia Executive Director Gwen Brandon, this 21-year-old initiative has helped to further the careers of some of the most talented and successful engineers in our industry. To learn more about the 2017-2018 Future Leaders Program, click here.


  • 2017 Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

    This sold-out program, held for the first time again after several years of hiatus on April 29, 2017, was attended by more than 300 students and families. Firms and organizations from across Georgia's engineering community hosted booths as part of the half-day program at Fernbank Museum of Natural History.



  • 2017 PAC Golf Tournament

    More than 60 golfers attended our 2nd annual ACEC Georgia PAC Golf Tournament, held on April 28, 2017 at Bear's Best Atlanta. All monies raised are donated to the ACEC Georgia Political Action Committee.



  • Savannah General Membership Meeting

    ACEC Georgia's March General Membership Meeting, held in Savannah, featured Keynote Speaker Colonel Marvin Griffin, P.E. - Commander & District Engineer for the Savannah District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.   • Inaugural Georgia Engineering Awards

    Held on February 25, 2017 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, the inaugural Georgia Engineering Awards celebrated exceptional engineers, engineering projects and achievements of the industry as a whole. Attended by more than 400 industry, business and elected/appointed leaders, the new black-tie event honored individuals and projects, including ACEC Georgia's Engineering Excellence Award winners and GSPE's Engineer of the Year winners.     The 18th annual Building Georgia Legislative Day, held in partnership with AGC Georgia, featured Keynote Speaker Chris Carr, Georgia's new Attorney General.

    More than 80 people gathered on January 24, 2017 to hear from Georgia's EPD Director Richard Dunn at our January General Membership Meeting, hosted in partnership with AGC Georgia.

  • 2016 Georgia Transportation Summit

    More than 950 of Georgia's engineering, transportation, business and community leaders gathered in Athens on November 30, 2016 for the 22nd annual Georgia Transportation Summit, held in partnership with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Transportation Alliance. Featured speakers included GDOT Commissioner Russell McMurry, GDOT Chief Engineer Meg Pirkle, MARTA CEO and General Manager Keith Parker and GRTA/SRTA Executive Director Chris Tomlinson.
